Care Instructions

Your home is made to live in. Groundstory rugs are made to live on. A little routine care goes a long way toward keeping them looking their best for years.

Elementa Collection
100% Polypropylene

Elementa rugs are built for real life -- resistant to spills, stains, and high-traffic areas. Here's how to keep them in great shape:

Vacuum regularly using suction only. Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes, which can damage the fibers over time. When spills happen, act quickly -- blot immediately with a clean, dry cloth. For tougher stains, blot gently with warm water and a small amount of mild dish detergent, then rinse by blotting with clean water only. Never rub or scrub, and keep harsh chemicals and solvents away from the rug. For a deeper clean, we recommend a professional carpet-cleaning service. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
Estate Collection
50% New Zealand Wool / 50% Nylon

Estate rugs are crafted from natural wool and deserve a little extra care -- but nothing complicated. Here's what to know:

Vacuum regularly using suction only to protect the wool fibers. Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes. If you notice slight shedding in the first few weeks, that's completely normal -- it will diminish over time as the fibers settle. When spills happen, blot promptly with a clean, dry cloth. For spot cleaning, use a small amount of wool-safe detergent and blot gently -- do not rub. Avoid excessive heat, moisture, or storing the rug rolled for extended periods. For a deeper clean, use a professional carpet-cleaning service. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
